St Modwen Homes, Branston

Holland Lloyd is delighted to have helped St. Modwen Homes, an award-winning UK developer of new communities and high-quality homes, achieve planning permission to build an additional 100 homes as part of the fifth and final phase at its popular development, Branston Leas, in Burton upon Trent.

Alongside the previous phases of the development, which saw plans for 660 new homes approved, the latest phase will continue to benefit residents with convenient access to public transport, employment opportunities, local retail, and leisure/recreational facilities. These community must-haves make the area particularly desirable to prospective homeowners.

The new phase will see a range of 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes, all situated in a high-quality residential development – many with their own electric vehicle charging point.

As part of the development, a financial contribution will be paid for East Staffordshire Borough Council to spend on measures to address housing need within the Borough. The scheme will also include financial contributions towards the provision of additional primary and secondary school places, healthcare, and improvements to the A38 Branston Interchange.

Ben Rayner, Director at Holland Lloyd said: “Holland Lloyd is delighted to have assisted St. Modwen Homes on another scheme nationwide. Our work with the developer and understanding of their needs helped to ensure a smooth planning process and positive committee decision. We are looking forward to seeing the final phase be delivered in Branston.”

Sam Rogers, Pre-construction Planning Manager at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We are pleased to have received planning permission for our latest and final residential phase at our popular Branston Leas development. We have already seen a wide variety of transformative work take place throughout previous phases, and are looking forward to continuing to deliver high quality homes in this new community.”
