Ingestre Park Golf Club and HS2 sought  your views on the proposed relocation of 12 holes at Ingestre Park.

Your comments will be considered prior to submission of a planning application and will be included within a Statement of Community Involvement submitted to Stafford Borough Council.

Background

The HS2 alignment bisects the existing golf course leaving only 6 holes playable.  Therefore, two separate planning actions are required:

  1. A Planning Direction by the Secretary of State; and
  2. A Planning Application to Stafford Borough Council.

The Golf Club will be submitting a planning application to Stafford Borough Council soon.

The Proposed Development

The planning application relates to:

  • A crossing point to the west
  • Temporary Safety Fencing
  • Reconfiguration of hole 18
  • A new bore hole

The wider scheme covered by the Planning Direction will deliver:

  • 10 new holes to the north of Ingestre Road
  • 2 new holes to the east of the clubhouse
  • A crossing point to the east
  • 2 lakes (one for irrigation storage)
  • Land drainage
  • Extensive landscaping and habitat creation
  • Erection of a small pumphouse
