Holland Lloyd has helped the Galliard Apsley Partnership develop and deliver the public consultation strategy for the former Sainsbury’s store, Selly Oak.
Our role has involved working with the project team to understand the project and develop a strategy to engage with the community, key local groups, elected City officials, and other elected politicians.
In July 2023, we completed the community consultation public event, held locally, with good attendance throughout the day and a mix of residents and interested parties attending the event. The proposal received coverage in local property press articles and was promoted by traditional leaflet methods, engagement with local groups, and social media advertisements.
In addition, the consultation benefited from a dedicated website, allowing residents, workers, and interested parties to access the core information and feedback to consultation in their comfort, day or night. The website remains open and will be updated at the point of planning submission.
